Long Beach, NY – Deez Guyzz, a band of friends from Long Beach, NY, who share a deep passion for music and an unbreakable bond, have released their newest single, “Waffle House Breakdown.” This track, a product of their unique collaboration with the legendary King DMC, was recorded at the renowned Platinum Sound Studio, owned by the famed Jerry Wonda and mastered by Serge Tsai.
After capturing King DMC’s attention on social media in the summer of 2022, Deez Guyzz had the honor of meeting him at Comic-Con. This encounter led to an unforgettable moment when King DMC visited Long Beach Public Library, where he performed to a packed audience alongside Deez Guyzz. During the soundcheck for this performance, DMC heard “Waffle House Breakdown” for the first time. This moment marked the beginning of an extraordinary musical journey and collaboration with the king of rock himself, leading to the song’s recording in early 2024.
Deez Guyzz, comprising friends aged 11 to 16, have shown that their genuine love for music transcends their youth, making waves in the music scene reminiscent of the early Beastie Boys. “Waffle House Breakdown” features Quinn Siegel on lyrics, Paul Vivot on guitar, Alejandro Coronado on keyboard, Bridie Birmingham on bass, and Lars Sorensen on drums. Their collective talents have created a track that’s not only a testament to their musical prowess but also a reflection of their shared experiences and growth.
Since forming in 2020, Deez Guyzz have become local favorites in Long Beach, bringing their music to life at block parties, music festivals, and beyond.
