Lars Sorensen
Drummer
My name is Lars Sorensen. I am a 16 year old drummer from Long Beach, NY. I have been drumming since approximately 3 years old and took my first lesson at 4 years old. Drumming and creating beats has always been a love of mine and I believe it was a gift I was given. I have played percussion at school since I was in 4th grade. I am currently a junior in high school. I attend Long Island High School for the Arts for music, specially focused on percussion. I have trained at Long Island Drum Center for seven years with Jerry Ricci. I have worked with Duke Gadd at the drum center as well and have met Liberty DeVito and other influential drummers. For about 9 years I attended classes at Studio Noir in Long Beach and was part of several bands. In 2020 I started playing with the talented Paul Vivot and in 2021 Deez Guyzz was created. We have been creating original songs and growing ever since! I jump in as a guest drummer with different local artists and bands like Lonely Birds, Shattered, etc. Taylor Searing has been a great influence of mine. Percussion is my strength and passion. When I am not drumming, you will find me surfing, filming, working at Skudin surf or volunteering at Surf for All.

Paul
Guitarist
Bonjour, my name is Paul Vivot. I was born in NYC in 2012. When I was 4 years old, I went to Sam Ash for the first time and threw a tantrum on the floor because I really wanted an electric guitar. I had to wait for my 6th birthday to get my first kid’s Fender, moved to Long Beach, NY, and joined Studio Noir music school at 8.
During the pandemic, my dad thought it would be a good idea to take zoom lessons with Benoir 5 days a week, I didn’t even know what a power cord was! But it was really the best ever. At the end of Summer 2020, I met Lars at a backyard party, and Deezguyzz was formed. We have been rocking together since then.
I got the honor to meet and jam with Bakithi Kumalo in 2021; Bakithi invited me to perform with Graceland in Philadelphia, which was amazing! I just take every opportunity I have to take my Gibson or Epiphone or both to perform with Deezguyzz anywhere we can and share my music.
I love a good, rare steak, bacon and crepes, the Brooklyn nets, and if I am not playing guitar, I am probably playing video games with my buddies, basketball, or riding my bike on the boardwalk.

Quinn
Lead Singer
Quinn, also known as Quinn the Legend, has loved singing since he was four years old. He would listen to the Ramones and memorize the lyrics to perform in front of friends and family. At the age of 6, Quinn started playing the drums. When he turned 9, Deez Guyzz asked him to join the band as the lead singer. He took the opportunity and never looked back. Since taking over the lead vocal role, Quinn has co-written the lyrics for Ginger, Run Away from Kerry, and Waffle House Breakdown. He loves to play video games and listen to Green Day.
